Henryetta Knights Wrestler Shines at Tulsa Nationals

Henryetta, OK – The Henryetta Knights Wrestling Club showcased their talent at the prestigious World of Wrestling Tulsa Nationals this past weekend, January 17-19, in Tulsa. Out of the 10 young wrestlers representing the club, Henry Howell stood out, earning an impressive 3rd place in the 6U 37lbs division.

Known as the toughest youth wrestling tournament in the United States, the WOW Tulsa Nationals attracts families and competitors from across the continent, making Henry’s achievement even more remarkable.

Henry, the son of Kim and Shane Howell of Henryetta, has only been wrestling for three months, yet his determination and skill have already set him apart. Head Coach Tristan Demmitt expressed his pride, saying, “It does not matter what age or division you are, when you win and place in a tournament like this, it is a huge deal. Especially for a young kid who has only been in wrestling for three months. It has been a blessing to be his coach.”

Henry’s parents shared their excitement, stating, “This is Henry’s first year wrestling, and he loves it! He eats, sleeps, and breathes this sport. We are glad to have made it a family event.” They also extended their gratitude to Coach Tristan Demmitt and Jacob Cookson for their guidance and support.

Congratulations to Henry Howell on this incredible accomplishment!
