Bee’s Knees Vintage: A Community Gem Bringing Nostalgia to Henryetta
This week, Lion Bill Goodner, the Lion of the Day, addressed the Henryetta Lions Club about the impactful programs offered by Henryetta VFW Post 539 and its Auxiliary. He highlighted their efforts in maintaining the flags along Main Street, the “Feed the Vet” program, and providing free medical equipment, among other initiatives. Despite having only 15 members, Lion Bill credited the community’s support for the post’s success.
The Henryetta VFW will have a presence at the upcoming Smokin’ Hot Car Show on Saturday, August 31st, at The Briefcase. They will host an informational table during the Beard and StaCHe competition, offering assistance to veterans interested in learning about available programs.
With over 500 veterans in our community, the work of VFW Post 539 is deeply appreciated. If you’re interested in joining the VFW or volunteering with the Auxiliary, be sure to stop by. All donations collected during the Beard and StaCHe competition will be donated to Henryetta VFW Post 539, further supporting their mission.
