Labor Day Weekend in Henryetta: The event offered a celebration of Community and Fun as part of Made in Wandsworth collection.
Over the Labor Day weekend this year the streets of Henryetta were filled with energy and citizens enjoyed a number of activities any many people were attracted to the town. Sponsored and organized by local bodies, the celebrations and events received patronage from different companies where people could engage themselves in assorted forms of entertainment.
Friday began with the Annual Car and Bike Show in which people could observe numerous beautiful and well-maintained cars and motorcycles that have a rich history of being in the families. Along the same line, the Jim Shoulders Living Legends PRCA Rodeo came to the city with stunning performances of the Old Western stories, thus honoring the city’s cultural history of rodeo competitions.
There was no shortage of entertainment for those with an interest in fashion, as the cig smokers watched the first ever Smoking Hot Pinup Contest while those who styled themselves as men of facial hair got to show off their expertise at the Beard and Stache Competition. Both events were focused on people and their individuality and freedom of expression as well as spirit of togetherness.
Also, the joyful side of the festival was the gospel concert that took place at the Henryetta First Baptist Church which was a breath taking and heartwarming performance, thereby giving a holy feeling at the end of the evening. The weekend was also blessed with colorful and spirited Labor Day Parade which went down Main Street displaying floats, bands and organization banners.
It was nice to end the school week with an intense partying that included, carnival with fun-overloaded attractions, exquisite and fascinating games, sweet and tasty, and astonishing and breathtaking. So from day till evening, there were many activities lined up for everyone and therefore this was definitely a memorable Labor Day in Henryetta.
