Overdose Awareness Day Event in Henryetta: Join Us on August 31st

The Okmulgee County Consortium, in collaboration with Oklahoma State University, is hosting an important Overdose Awareness Day Event on August 31st in Henryetta. The event will take place from 9:00 AM to noon and aims to provide critical resources to the community to combat the ongoing opioid crisis.

At the event, Safe Kits will be distributed, which include medication lock bags, Narcan, medication disposal kits, Fentanyl and Xylazine testing strips, hygiene supplies, and information on local resources. These kits are designed to help individuals and families safeguard their medications and be prepared in the event of an overdose emergency.

This is a vital opportunity for the community to come together and take proactive steps toward preventing overdoses and saving lives. We encourage everyone to attend, learn more about the resources available, and take home a Safe Kit.
